Hello! 

A friend of mine, Jamie, is currently working on a project to summit all 50 state high points while fundraising for the REI Cooperative Action Fund. She's getting very close to her goal and will hopefully be completing the project on Denali in spring 2027! 

I'm very excited to have joined for the climb of Oregon's high point, Wy'east (Mt Hood) this May. We had a successful summit and more importantly, prioritized each other's well-being so we could complete our objective while also having fun! I'm appreciative of the opportunity to support her project, both as a climber and fundraiser.

Jamie and I met while volunteering for a youth outdoor program run by Young Women Empowered (Y-WE). We both care deeply about expanding access to outdoor recreation, especially for young women/girls & gender expansive youth! Beyond our Wy'east climb, we'll be spending time outside together on two overnight trips and one five day backpacking trip with middle/high school-aged youth this summer!

State funding for outdoor programs has been cut significantly over the past year, and foundations like the REI Cooperative Action Fund have been critical to fill the gap for nonprofits like Y-WE that run youth outdoor programs.
